Pixel death

I have just noticed a small patch of pixels that appear to be permanently dark grey. This is on a 6-month old V505-BP. Anyone had similar problems?

great to hear, but im still stuck with a dead pixel, and im the kind of person who if sends his laptop to sony will get it back without it being fixed!!!

No manufacturer will replace a screen which only has one faulty pixel.

True Rob, and yes Shaggy I too know first hand how much of bugbear a dead pixel can be. The only way to guarantee a perfect screen is to try before buying. I saved 3 figures on my laptop buying online to the high street but sadly have a dead/red pixel
If you dont mind paying full price have a test drive before laying out the cash.
You could also try grovelling with whoever you purchased from for a swap but I doubt they'll listen after more than a day.

Yeah it's best to not go on too much about 1 dead pixel.
