Pixel death

I have just noticed a small patch of pixels that appear to be permanently dark grey. This is on a 6-month old V505-BP. Anyone had similar problems?

No, I have GRX616SP and have no (noticeable) dead pixels.

My Z1SP has exactly the same thing, a couple of dark patches, not dead pixels just dark patches.

I read something about it a while ago saying that someone managed 2 get sony 2 fix it for them but i havent even phoned them to ask simply because i dont wanna relinquish my laptop to them for two weeks.

know the feeling! but I'm off travelling so will probably send it in while I'm away. I'll let u know what Sony do with it. thx

It's best to get this sort of problem sorted out straight away. If the LCD get worse after the warranty period it is horribly expensive to get repaired.

so far its just one dead pixel.

who do i contact? sony or dabs.com the place where i got my laptop from?
i brought my laptop in august, so time is running out for me......
paid just under £2000 for mine.

do you think i can get a new laptop as a replacement? lol

Not for one dead pixel, you'd have to have 20+
It's all decided by the ISO standards.

you will need 5 dead pixels to get it repaired, exchanged whatsoever, better get repaired as soon as you can because they will expand after times..

I had a dead pixel about 2 weeks after recieving my rig. It's constantly red!
Next laptops gonna be an Acer or Toshiba.
