PCMCIA with SZ61WN

Hi there,

I have my new Sony SZ61WN which I love... I've bought a pcmcia card to go with it that provides multiple audio outs (for DJ'ing) but when I connect it I get a BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER error and Blue Screen of Death in Vista.

From looking round the net the problem seems to be something to do with USB devices drawing too much power... Has anybody had anything like this/know anything I should try to fix it?

Hi Ed and welcome.

Are you sure your PCMCIA card is Vista compatible? Most of these cards (including the popular Audigy2 ZS) have some known compatibility problems with both Vista systems and certain PCMCIA Controllers.

Have you checked the website of the card manufacturer to see if there is a Vista software update?
