PCG-K315S PCMCIA = No Standby/Hibernate

Hello, i have a rather serious issue with my Vaio PCG-K315S.

It would seem that when any wireless LAN PCMCIA card is inserted, the machien cannot go into standby or hibernation.

I have tested 3 cards on this machine, each has a different wireless LAN chipset, but to no avail. Also, the only way to allow the machine to return to a standby or hibernation state is to completely reinstall windows, as it would seem that simply removing the PC card from the slot still reproduces this problem.

Can anyone provide any help to get this working? I've just spent a small fortune on wireless PC cards, (luckily I still have the receipts, so i can return them).

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a Wireless MiniPCI card? My K295HP came with a miniPCI wireless card installed under a panel on the base of the computer
