Hi all
I bought new vaio month ago,it's cool, but what annoys me is preinstaled applications. Most of them i do not need and slow down whole system.I would like to recover OS whithout some of them. The problem is warranty, because i noticed somewhere(can't remember where) that by recovering OS you lose your warranty. Is that true?thx for reply.BTW:sry for my english
Hi forforty440 and welcome to Club Vaio.
If you install an operating system other than the OEM installed version of Windows, you should not invalidate your warranty. You will, however lose any support from Sony if things go wrong (and they usually do) and they will not honour the warranty if something you do yourself causes the fault.
Why don't you simply uninstall any programs you do not need?
well, uninstalling is a possible way,but still there is high memory usage(page file) 350M/2450M and 49 running processes which is too many i think.
anyway,,if i use recovery tool(OEM win),then everything would be fine(warranty and support from sony),wouldn't it?
