notebook startup problem

hello there,
i have an sony fr415s model for the last 4 months havent faced any problems.... but recently i have a few startup problems....

firstly it takes too long to boot into windows xp

i have used the system recovery disk and formated the entire hard disk ... but the problem persists....


the problem is only slow startup but once in the windows all is fine

can any one help me with the problem i fear it might be a hardware problem...

Slow start ups are usually due to having a lot of programs starting up and a lot of drivers being loaded into memory. The best thing to do is only have essentials starting up on bootup.
