Memory Stick and SD/MMC icons missing

Hi,

Upon doing a install of my own Windows, both memory stick and SD/MMC icons are missing within 'my computer'. They simply show up as a white 'paper' like icon.

I have read this before in this forum, i tried searching but nothing worked for me. TBH when i search anything, it doesent work.

Does any one have any idea where and how i can get these icons back.

Its somewhere on the sony website because i got it yesterday! Will have a look and let you know if i can find it again!

If you just installed Windows XP, have a look at Rich's solution in this thread..

Unfortunately the Search function is not working properly, hopefully it will be fixed soon..

Got it for you mate:

http://support.vaio.sony.ie/downloads/os/vista/upgrade.html

You will see "MemoryStick Icon Registry patch" on the left and then click on any link (they all use the same version of the patch) for the download.
