Hi Folks ... Need your help I have a small problem with my new Vaio (VPCEB1Z05)
I’m a business user and decided to change away from the very reliable IBM/Lenovo machines to the Vaio. In general I’m very happy, but I have a niggling problem that should not be there.
From time to time, I will lose network connectivity from my Router, this happens with either Wireless or from my Ethernet connection. I know it is NOT my router as I have another PC connected and no issue arise from that. A very quick and easy fix is either disable then enable my wireless or network card and I instantly get reconnected. I probably have to do this about 2-3 times a day. It’s not causing me major issue but it’s a fault that should not be there. Any suggestions, do I need a firmware or a BIOS update.
I’ve done all the usual sys diagnostics with no failure bangs ...
Any help would be appreciated. I have also attached my system configs.
I have the same problem, please can someone help. It is driving me nuts!
Hi Everyone ... Can someone please advise/help?
Rgds ...Stuart
Hi Stuart,
Not sure whether this is the problem but have you checked whether the devices are set to turn off to save power?
You will find this option for both the Ethernet and Wireless adaptor under Properties > Power Management via Device Manager.
