Is there any way to quieten/slow down the CDROM when playing cds?

Hi there, I've just bought a Vaio and as it's used in a quiet room, the CDROM drive is way too loud when playing cds. On my old Toshiba there was an 'acoustic cd rom silencer' program which you could click-on when playing cds and it would quieten the drive down as if by magic. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I actually downloaded the Toshiba utility and it works a treat believe it or not! :smileygrin:
