Imp: Found something interesting

Guys.... as most of us are suffering from various hardware problems in vista (eg. motioneye not working properly, wireless getting disconnected blah blah). I just found that by disabling DEP in Vista might help to prevent these problems (might be for-ever)..... Has anyone tried it??
To disable the DEP, you need to type the following line in command prompt as an administrator.

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

After "Operation Completed Successfully" message reboot and the DEP is turned off. Check it out.

AS disabling DEP for the whole system might not be a good idea, it would be great if we can find out how to disable DEP for certain programs only.

tell me if it works out for you....
cheers

you need to write the command in the command prompt as an administrator.

go to 'all programs' then to 'accessories' and right click command prompt and click on 'run as administrator'. When command prompt window appears write the command mentioned above.
