Dear Sony Forum Users,
I am unable to apply the Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 DLL 1.0.0.0 Patch through the Sony Vaio Update facility. I have downloaded the patch into the E-AU-944211-35 folder of the Update directory inside of the 'C' Drive Partition, but as I double click on the E-AU-944211-35 executable it allows me to run the patch and to extract all of its contents onto the laptop. As I return back to the Sony Vaio update facility which is preinstalled on my laptop, it displays a blue circle with a question mark on the left hand side of the download manager giving me no indication as to why and how the installation was unsuccessful. Next I checked the Icon Description area to see what the blue circle with the question mark was to represent in the download manager and it said that "Update programs which have been already downloaded but the system cannot determine if they have been installed or not.", but as I explained before I followed all the neccessary procedures to complete the installation successfully from the Sony Vaio website. I have had this problem since February last year and I have been unable to figure out what is the cause of this problem and thats why I contacted you for additional support. If you can help me with my enquiry I would be very grateful as I would be able to eliminate this problem once and for all.
