how do i recover more space on C;drive

hi evryone,
i have PCV RS-604 with 200gb HD partioned 40gb C and 160gb D drive.
I just noticed there is only 10gb free on C drive though i do not save anything.i looked thro and removed programmes which appears to be taking almost 4000 mb (canon camera software and flash player)each.
but i have not gained anymore freespace on the drive.
can any one please advice how i can free more space.

Hi belgrave,

You could move your My Documents from the C Drive to the D Drive, here is a guide on the process.

thanks,but there is only 1gb maximum in my documents,because i save all work on D drive.it appears 4gb is used by windows and 5gb by programmes.that is say 10-12gb and there is still 15-20 gb unaccounted for.
can i increase the capacity of the C drive without messing up the whole thing some how
