HELP!!! trying to connect vgc-va1 to tv

Hi can anyone help me I am trying to connect my vgc-va1 to my tv via a s-video cable, but it doesnt see the tv? I know all cables are ok as checked them on laptop.
my graphics card is Ati catalist controlled. PLease help if you can think of anything as ive been trying now for 4 days and im about to go crazy with it. :slight_frown:

Hi guappa7 and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sorry, it is bad news - the Sony 'All-in-One' Vaios do not have any sort of Video Output. They are designed as complete units and have no monitor or video out connections. I suppose they think the large screen is adequate.

The S-Video, Audio and Composite Video sockets on the VA1 are part of your TV Card and are INPUTS ONLY for capturing Video to memory.

It is not possible to connect directly to a TV - you could try Googling for a USB to TV converter box because this will be the only way you can display the output from your VA1 on an external display.
