Help! MCE TV Broken after Windows Automatic Update on Brand New VIAO

Please Help!

Before Christmas, my two week old VIAO MCE did an automatic Windows Update, and now I get program crashes whenever I tr;y to use MCE to watch TV or video.

Video is fine in Media Player outside of MCE.

Posted to Sony eSupport site, but their 'maintainance' seems to have wiped all my open tickets.

hi lee,

i would check and make sure you have all the updates installed from microsoft and also check you have updates from sony.
then try setting up your media center again.

failing that have you tried rolling back the system to a restore point before the updates were installed?

Did it install Windows Media Player 11?
