I've recently had my VGN-AR31S fixed by Sony. I put iTunes on to my laptop, downloaded the latest update and then proceded to download a couple of music videos. When I tried to play the videos they played for only a few seconds and then froze. The next thing that happened was I got an error message stating "Raid Vol 0 error, carry out a back-up".
All is fixed now, but the repair note states that the Hard drives had been replaced.
Question is, was it iTunes that mucked everything up or was it just a fluke that I got the error at the same time as I put iTunes on and downloaded the videos?
Someone else has reported RAID issues with iTunes maybe it's a software clash.
Hi Sgt Whiskeyjack
I think it was a coincidence, have a look at this similar thread ..
Actually if you don't mind could you post a screen shot in this thread similar to the ones that meld has supplied here please..

Hi Sgt Whiskeyjack,
Thanks for replying, don't worry about the images..
Glad to read that your laptop is set up beautifully at the moment, performing well and behaving itself.
Not sure about your Vaio being alive though..
