Having searched for advice online apparantly i need to purchase a new graphics card?? But which one should i buy for my Vaio BX laptop, how much will it cost, and how do i install it?
Hope someone can help

Hi Marie and welcome to Club Vaio.
It is not good news I'm afraid.
The BX-Series of laptops is designed for business use and the ATI graphics are not really designed for gaming. As with almost all laptop computers, the graphics chip is part of the main board and cannot be upgraded - it would be cheaper to buy another computer. It is only desktop computers and some very large and expensive notebooks that can be upgraded.
You don't say which BX-Series Vaio you have and there may be better drivers for the graphics but it will never be capable of playing the most modern games.
Hi Blencogo
Thanks for your reply, i do also have a desktop computer, guess i will have to try that instead, ah well the joys of computing.
My notebook is the BX196SP model, and have managed to succesfully install and play older games, yet now experiencing difficulty with this particular game.
Thanks again
Marie
Yeah the main problem with PC gaming is that graphics cards get old very quickly, one week you have a sweet 512MB VRAM Geforce, and in 3 months time 1GB ones come along.
