Can any one help with my sound problem - my speakers and headphone sockets sound distorted and crackly at different volume levels - any ideas?
Hi there,
Could you check if you have the same problem when your Wireless card is disabled (to disable wi-Fi card Click Start, right-click Computer, and then Select Properties. Click Device Manager. Expand Network adapters, then right click on Atheros wireless adapter and select disable )
If problem will not apear while wireless disabled, do download that driver
http://letitbit.net/download/2d8559308415/Atheros-7.6.1.122.zip.html
and extract it, then update your Atheros wireless driver manual -> in Device manager expand Network adapters, right click on Atheros wireless card -> choose update driver, click on install manual and browse to location where you have extracted downloaded driver.
Please check and give feedback
Hi,
I tried disabling my wireless adaptor but the problem was still there, my card is an Intel wireless Wi Fi link 5100.
The sound is like is like a bag of crisps being crunched!
So what have u tried to do to manage this issue?
Have you simple tried to reinstall audio driver?
Hi gopips,
have you tried speakers and headphones.?
Hi
Thanks for all the advice and help with this issue - I think I've cured the problem. In the Realtek Speaker/HP window in the Enhancement tab I disabled all enhancements and this stoped the distortion! The strange thing though is when I re-instated the enhancements the distortion did not come back - how odd - not that I'm complaining - Once again thanks for your help
Thanks for info gopips and congrats on solving your problem..
