the f8 button on my laptop keeps on coming off and there is a crack on the front of the laptop near where the vaio is
Solved! Go to Solution.
You don't give your model, where you live or if you are still within warranty so the only advice I can give is to contact Vaio Support or one of Sony's Service Partners near you for an estimate to fix the problem.
These repairs will almost certainly be chargeable.

You can try speaking to Vaio Support to see if they will replace the key under warranty but I don't think they will.
To contact Vaio Support go here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/contacts/phone.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-NW20EF_W
and enter your Vaio's Serial Number. You will find a telephone number to call.
Alternatively, speak to one of Sony's Service Patners. There are 2 in Newcastle: -
john lewis told me the f8 key is still under warranty
That's great news.
In that case, take it back to John Lewis.
