Hi I have a VGN AR41L vaio laptop and am really pleased with, however a couple of days ago the eject button stopped working on the top. It displays the eject splachscreen on the desktop but dosen't eject the drive. It does work on the side though.
Any ideas please.

We have had several reports of strange things happening recently and the suspicion must fall on Vista/Vaio Updates.
The eject button is software driven and you could try reinstalling the Original Utilities that control it in this order: -.
1. Utils Installer1 - Sony Utilities dll
2. Utils Installer2 - Sony Shared Library
3. Utils Installer - Vaio Event Service
4. Utils Installer - Setting Utility Series
However, I would wait for a week or so before doing this because many of these faults seem to fix themselves in Vista after a few re-boots.
