DVD writer problem-FS115e

Hi,
Recently on a FS115e I burnt a cd and then after that, the computer does not read blank CDs but still reads DVDs. The machine is about three years old. Could anyone suggest a reason or setting alterations? Would a firmware upgrade solve the problem?

Hi Azii,

go to Device manager, then expand the DVD/CD ROM drives tree do you see any error icons or codes.?
