Hi,
I just got a VAIO update message about an update for DVD BD for a VGN-AR41S. I did downpoad it (version 3.0.20.17080) but it does not want to install: it says :... Click to DVD BD does not meet setup minimum requierement. This installation requires 3.0.0.00 or later.
Where doe I check my DVD BD version (I had not used this application yet). I don't have a "Click to DVD BD" short cut. Is it the program "Intervideo Win DVD BD for VAIO" listed in Start/Programs ? The help button does not link to an about info on the software.
In any case how do I upgrade to a version higher than 3.0.0.00 if the VAIO update application does not offer it for download?
Thanks in advance.
I would be very interested to see what the result is for this.
Evry time I have tried to do the update I get the same error. It amaizes me that you have not had a reply from an expert ove this!
Good luck
I'm afraid none of us users know the answer to this.
We have escalated the problem to Sony Support.
In the meantime, please post the current version of Click2BD you have installed.
Start -> Type 'Click to DVD' into the Search Bar and open the program. Look in Help -> About Click to DVD and you will see the Version.
Alternatively, browse to
C:\Program Files\Sony\Click to DVD\Version.txt and open it to see the installed version.

Hi Blencogo,
the version reported in C:\Program Files\Sony\Click to DVD 2\vesrion.txt is:
3.0.24.11200
PAL
so in fact the proposed Sony update 3.0.20.17080 is an older version and the error message is at fault or the download should not be listed in the update page since it's not "an update".
For good conscience I checked the file that was downloaded 18/12/2007 in C:\Update. Its name is:
SOACTB-01526802-UN.exe and the properties | Details lists:
File version: 4.1.100.1332
Product version: 3.0.20.17080
Season's Greetings and Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
P.S. the help file is in English and the program in French. It may be because my keyboard is configured for US international for the French accents and the regional format is set to French ....
