Drivers and Software

Hi,

I reside in switzerland and working on a os in german is such a nightmare, and as sony dont supply them in english i had no choice, so I have had to reinstall the os, however now i am faced with issues with regards to the drivers...
I have had an ibm and a hp laptop, and both have always been excellant with regards to downloading drivers, yet why is it so complicated for the sony vaio fs285m ?
Can anyone tell me where i can download the ethernet controller drivers from. Winxp picked up the wireless driver but no the 802.3 driver, i also went onto vaio-link and it only has the video and audio driver... thats it.

Also, what about the software, id that availble for downoad ?? as the vaio-link only has updates...:O(

Hi tamac and welcome.

All the drivers and utilities are available on Vaio-Link, they are in the Pre-Installed Drivers and Utilities (at the bottom of the page)
here.

The pre-installed software is not available for download unfortunately but will be on your recovery disks (if you created them) or the HDDR partition. These will be in the original language of course.
