I need help downgrading a sony from vista to windows media centre
can any one help please

Hi bernie1264 and welcome to Club Vaio.

The VGN-AR21S was originally sold with XP Media Centre installed as the Operating System. So you are just going back to its original configuration.

Do you have a set of Recovery Discs - these will return the Vaio to its original set-up with Media Centre installed?

Do you still have a Recovery Partition on your hard drive - if yes you can also use this to return your Vaio to its original configuration? To check if you have a Recovery Partition: -

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disc Management

Do you have an EISA Recovery Partition shown? If it is not empty you can recover to factory settings using this.
