Connect my PS3 to my Vaio LA2 ?

Hi everyone.

I have a Vaio LA2 and i would like to know if there's a way to use it as a TV to play with my ps3?

Can i use the Audio et video input for this or do i need something else?

thank you

Hi pezpezparty and welcome.

Unfortunately none of the Sony all-in-one Media Centre Vaios are designed to act as a monitor for other video devices. Your LA2 is the same.

All your video inputs (S-Video and Composite Video) are though the TV Tuner card and are designed to capture video - not to stream video to the screen. You will get a delay in the system due to latency which will make playing games impossible.

It is also difficult to get Media Centre to display the image in full screen - it keeps wanting to configure the input as a set-top-box. Most people install a separate freeware analogue TV Tuner software program which will recognise the s-video input and display in full screen.
