i would like some help to connect my notebook to my lcd tv, is a vga cable the best option or could someone give me some advice vgn-fs415m is model thanks
Hi tammby and welcome to Club Vaio.
Your only video out from your FS415M is through the VGA 15-pin monitor output.
If your TV has this connection, I would use it as it is going to give you the best quality picture (RGB). Use a standard VGA to VGA monitor cable. You will need a separate audio connection from your Vaio's headphone socket to the TV.
If your tv does not have a VGA in PC socket, you will need a VGA to Composite Video TV adapter like this one: -

thanks for your help, could you point me in the rigth direction for the audio connection{headphone} for notebook to tv?
It will depend on what sound inputs you have on your TV. Two stereo Phono inputs are common but check your TV.
Your headphone jack is on the front of your Vaio. You will need a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to 2 X Phono.
