sidebar

hello.
i recently bought a vaio fz21s and it is perfect. the only thing wrong is that it comes with a google sidebar which i cannot change. i am the adminastrador and when i go to change the windows sidebar setting, it says- windows sidebar is managed by your system adminastrador.
the only bad thing is- i am in no system(school, company one).

can you please help me???? please??

Hi franfred and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sony have been a bit naughty and made the Google Sidebar the default by turning off the Windows Sidebar.

To change this: -

Start -> type "regedit" in the search bar and open it.
Navigate to:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Windows\Sidebar"
Right-click on "turnoffsidebar", change 1 to 0.
