Showing my ignorance here but i have an older Sony VGN fS 115 B with 60gig hard drive which has been replaced by a FE31.
I use the old one for i tunes, photos and gen internet and it keeps saying low disk space. i have checked in the properties and sure enough it says Vaio (C) is nearly full but it also shows Vaoi D is virtually empty with a space of 35 Gig.
Can anyone tell me how to free up space or transfer it - why is it showing 35 gig free on (D) that i cant seem to use?
many thanks for any help
Andy
Hi Andy,
If the ‘My Documents’ folder is large then is would make sense to move this to the D drive.
To do this right click either the icon on the desktop or within Windows Explorer and select Properties > (on the Target tab) click ‘Move… ‘
Expand 'My Computer' and select the D drive, then click 'Make New Folder' > locate (new folder) and rename as My Documents > click OK to start the transfer.
