Buyer beware - only 3 months on battery

Hello,

My AR11S is 13 months old and the battery has completely died.

I phoned up hoping that Sony might be nice and replace as near the 12 months warranty.

To be told go away only 3 months on the battery because it is a consumable!

Apparently this is listed on the website but not when i bought the unit!

So buyer beware! You only have 3 months to decide if the battery is a good one or not.

Personally, i find this shocking as i have had another vaio for 5 years without any battery issues at all. And my next laptop purchase will be one that doesn't have 3 months on the battery.

I liked the equipment so I spend more money on a better unit for it to fail on me!!

The worst part is after buying a very expensive unit I now have to find £145 for a new one.

Unless some other guys have found any brands of 3rd party batteries that have been okay??

The part number is VGP-BPS2C. Any advice gratefully received!

David.

This is the same with every laptop maker, the battery only has 90 days warranty. As they say, it is in fact a consumable.

Still, very annoying
