BIOS Update R0035J4 for Vista

"This update resolves the following issue where the LCD screen remains blank after closing and re-opening the notebook lid."

Because of that problem, I tried update my bios, only that the program said:"cannot read the system information"

I need to do any thing else?
My bios version is - r0034j4
an my vaio is a VGN-C1Z/B

I had problems updating to this BIOS under Vista. Fortunately, I still have Win XP MCE installed, and there the update worked. Good Job, Sony
