Battery life!

Ref. VGN-SZ3VWP/X. Should the battery discharge at over 10% every 12 hours with the computer shut down? My 3 year old Acer does not do this but my new Sony does. Is this normal or is the battery faulty and not holding the charge?
One person has told me that it is normal but I am looking for other opinions. Please let me know if your Sony holds its charge when off or if it discharges completely over a few days.

there has been a discussion on this already and it seems many vaio users are getting this problem inlcuding myself. its something we have got to live with i guess. what you could do is take the battery out after shutting down and see if it still loses charge
