Why does usb hdd show wrong programme details

I have a Sony sony kdl37ex524 T. I have attached a USB HDD to record programmes form the TV Guide.

I have no problem recording, however ,when I come to select the items from the listing on the HDD it shows the title of the programme immeditely before the one recorded. For instance I recorded Billy Connolly's Route 66 programme but it showed in the HDD listing as DCI Banks, the programme transmitted before Billy Connolly.

When selecting this, however, the correct programme has been recorded. It all becomes a bit confusing after a while as I haven't a clue what I have recorded without playing each title.

there are a few threads on here with the same question and not even Sony themselves have produced a satisfactory answer to this, so we all still at a loos on that one, sorry.
