What video formats can be streamed to tv from pc via home network?

I've played some videos OK, but no sound  - is their an optimum video format for streaming.

Hi - checkout this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwtBQJadBL8 and get Serviio setup. This should negate the need to fiddle with the files themselves.

You may download Serviio software which give good results because it has built in some video/audio codecs.

Serviio is the old brother for Sony , he always complete what Sony missing :wink:

Thanks for all of this - have installed serviio and am getting good results. If wtv files are converted dvr-ms they work fine, and converting avi files to mpeg2 (via Freemake) is so far giving good results
