Virgin Media 3D content

Hello everybody.  Mr Stupid here.  Have today set up my new 3d 46'' Bravia + 3d blue ray player + 3d glasses etc.  Have seen 3d at work via blueray ok.  Have virgin cable XL TV package which includes some 3D content, hooray!

BUT it isn't hooray, because it is just appearing as 2x identical looking images side by side on the screen!

IS THERE SOMETHING THAT i HAVEN'T DONE IN THE SETTINGS OF THE TV????
