Setting up SKY plus on a Bravia

I am trying to set up my new tv to use the SKY plus box through digital as the default but the TV won't recognise the HDMI cable. I have changed cables and no change. It fins the sony blu ray but nit the sky box. The options for setup only give analogue or cable. Does anyone have any ideas on how to set up the tv to accept Sky digital as the primary source?

Well , i guess you may try the following

In Sky box menu confirm you choose the output to HDMI , switch OFF , remove power supply for 30 sec and reconnect

In TV menu , go external input setting > video label > HDMI > change the display from ALWAYS to AUTO
