I have just been reading a long list of post regarding a screen fault on 2007 purchased Sony Bravia's. The same thing happend to mine last year, my insurance didn't cover non accidential damage so I put it to one side and brought another TV as Sony were no help what so ever, I was very shocked though because as has been said time and again, Sony was a trusted name, with a price tag to go with it I might add!
Anyway I kept the thing, as I couldn't bring myself to throw away something that cost so much and still looked so good, I have only just had the time to have it looked at by a little independent tv repairer and he has said it was not cost effective to have it repaired, just bin it!
I cannot believe that Sony are not addresses this faulty batch of TV's and I would like to add my name to the long list of very unhappy customers over this issue! ADDRESS IT SONY!!
