Hi, can anyone help me please?
Using all three devices I connect to my TV via scart I get the same issue.
When white text displays on screen I see a distinct repeat or shadow of the same text just to the side. It's like in photoshop when you ask it to drop shadow a box (for example). This only seems to happen on text.
I would be extrememely grateful if someone more knowledgable than me could help me cure this issue.
Please note that this occurs when I use my cheap Scart cable and my expensive QED shielded etc. cable. And it did not happen on the CRT tv I used prior to this.
Many thanks

Hi Damac,
Changing to Cinema mode certainly reduces the drop-shadowing as does reducing the sharpness on general mode, but does not get rid of it.
(The TV does not allow me to use 'auto' scene on the feed from my cable box)
I started noticing this drop-shadowing a week or two ago. So it was interesting to see the latest firmware was released a couple of weeks ago. AND that I had it installed (via auto update) ..
Hmm, could this be a coindidence??
I am not able to check the antenna connection as I do not have access to one but I do not get the drop-shadows when I watch iplayer/internet tv content. I DO get the drop shadowing using both my dvd player and my cable box via scart.
My scart cables are both 21-pin, one cable is pretty expensive. I even removed a pin from the cheap one, as per internet suggestion, to see if it could help, it didn't.
Hope you can help.
Andy
Hi all,
Wondering if it could be the wiring internal to the TV. Any ideas?
