hi i have a sony bravia KDL40W5500 is this model ready for saorview reception in ireland or do i need to purchase a saorview set top box

Full list of compatible products - looking at the list, it appears only 2011 products are compatible as the stardard was only confirmed last year. So yes you'd need to buy a STB to receive it.
