no channels found using aerial when tuning in to terrestrial channels - Sony Bravia KDL43WF663 LED

I have just received the new Sony Bravia KDL43WF663, and as part of the quick set up, plugged in the Aerial; followed the instructions in the manual; and, yet, the TV is returning no channels tuned.  there is just white snow type of screen; which, makes no sense, given that, the previous Sony LCD TV was receiving all the terrestrial channels via thee Set Top Box, from which, I have taken out the aerial and plugged it straight in to this TV, at the rear, where there is a socket for Aerial. 

All thoughts / solutions welcome; for which, I would be most grateful to you.

Snow white looks like analogue tuner that was abandoned years ago: are you sure you are looking at digital channels?

Yesterday afternoon, I did try the Digital Option, and the channels started to tune; and, realised i had chosen the incorrect option i.e. Analogue. I have all the channels in freeview.
