First thing to do is factory reset the tv - its been known to do wonders. If that fails, you need to book it in for repairs.

i spoke to sony support and told me i could get a replacement tv for my faulty
KDL-55W829B panel as been its only about 2.5 years since i got it ( bought it from sony outlet ) as long is i pay some extra £££ and it will only have 3 month warrenty.
well i phoned the sony repair dealers and the prices vary so much.
Armstrong Hifi Video Services Ltd quoted £781
and then another quoted £1080 for same tv , only cost me £650 to start with.
where do they get these prices and what waste of time , can get brand new and newer model for less with full warrenty

Hi there
I have merged your new thread with this one as there really is no need to create a whole new thread (which gives no context of what previously happened).
Unfortunately I do not know what else to suggest - so the only thing I can really do is to escalate your complaint on these forums to Sony Support for them to get in touch with you (which I have now done so). Please ensure that you have correct contact details in your profile so Sony can contact you.
Cheers
