What is the motherboard type slot for behind the protective door?

Its not the CAM or CI slot so what is it?

it is PCMCIA Card Slot, same as the one used with laptop

There is a slot on the side the same as the old PCMICA (spelling?) slots for laptops but on the back there is a plastic door and behind it a motherboard type of connection (above the standard connections and next to the product label).

I think its a diagnosis socket or something for engineers.
