Faulty KDL55HX923

Hi

I recently bought a KDL55HX923 from an authorised Sony Centre.

It was delivered on Monday.

I have vertical lines running down the side of the screen about 1 cm in from the left and right hand edges.

This has been reported on another forum and posting and seemingly to Sony.

Can you advise if this is normal or if it is a fault and whether a replacement TV would have the same defect.

Unfortunately Sony are not acknowledging a problem with this TV.

I've e-mailed Sony and also contacted my local Sony Centre, neither was able to help and Sony replied to my e-mail denying the existence of a fault.

On AVForums the fault has been reported by everyone who has so far received the TV, some are returning their sets for repair/refund.

At this stage it is impossible to say whether it is an issue with an initial batch or if that is just the way the TV is.

I have a 55HX923 on order, due mid July - if I have the crease issue then I'll be seeking a replacement and hoping that future batches of this TV do not exhibit the crease issue.
