Bravia Sync query.

Hi

I am trying to configure ‘Bravia Sync’ between my Sony TV KDL32-EX503 and recorder RDR-HXD890, which are connected via a HDMI cable.

I have configured the TV HDMI control to ON and also the recorder but the ‘Bravia Sync Menu’ reports “No HDMI control devices”.

Should this work and if so, any ideas why it currently isn’t?

Try with other HDMI cable if any there. You do not have amplifire or something between, do You...

RDR-HXD890 is an older model and it has the previous version “Bravia Theater Sync” not “Bravia Sync”. You can use only “Bravia Theater Sync” functions described in the RDR instruction manual but the Bravia Sync menu will not be available.
