First - I am not sure whether or not this is an Android TV so whether this is the right forum.
The apps I have on his 32 inch smart TV appear to be very limited, acccessed by the Home button on the remote and then 'All Apps'. They include BBC iPlayer, BBC NEWS, BBC SPORT, Netflix, Rakuten TV and meteonews.14 tabs in all. There seems to be no obvious way to add to these.
My questions are:
(1) should I have a web browser or search engine installed?
(2) should I be able to download additional apps?
I use Virgin broadband.
Many thanks

Hi @Andrewjohn46 It is a Linux TV (not Android). Sorry to let you know that the “smart” TV apps are what you see is all you get. Currently there is no facility to add new apps. The best way of expanding the number of apps is to add a streaming stick, like FireTV, Roku or an Android box.

Many thanks for the clarification! I am new to smart TVs after just having retired a perfectly functioning Sony Cathode Trinitron model from about 2002! I may well have to ask some other questions on here.
