I have a 40inch Bravia HD TV which I have connected to Sky HD and an LG BluRay. When a tv program or disc is running, and the scene goes to a dark or night shot, I can see what I have described above as Background Tonal Contouring. The black background appears layered similar to contours on a map. Does anyone else get this, or does anyone have a solution. The image sometimes looks very grainy too, even in HD or on BluRay disc.
