3d not working on bd player

I have a KDL40HX803 Full Hd, 3D tv, BDV E870 Theatre System, ps3

For my 3d experience I am using Tdgbr100 specs + Tmr100 transmitter. Everything is bang uptpdate with software/firmware. 3d works perfectly when gaming thru ps3 or when streaming 3d experience thru tv, however, when I play bd 3d discs thru either my bd player or ps3 player the tv goes into 3d mode but nothing comes thru my specs, also 3d signal detected is absent - surely this should be acknowledeged as soon as I put the disc into either players. Please can someone help me!

Very strange - all the kit is good and it clearly works for some things. Have you tried another HDMI cable just in case thats the cause.  Also what happens when you press the 3D button on the remote, as you might have to manually activate it..

I had had it working previously with existing hdmi cable. Also when I press 3d button on remote there are 4 choices of selection: off, simulated 3d, side-by-side, and over/under - i don't i need to make a selection here because a bd 3d disc should be automatically identified when I insert it, and thus 3d signal detected should appear.

I'd maybe try doing a fulll reset of both devices - maybe something has glitched somewhere. Details on how to do this are in the smart TV FAQ above this thread...
