Hello , this is the first time that I'm writing as I usually have all my questions answered through Sony Support .
As for this one.....I don't know...
Getting to the grit of things , here's what goes.
To be able to get the most out of my 3d tv , I need glasses. That much I know.
That when I broke the left end piece of my glasses dozing off while watching a movie only to find out that I have to throw away an otherwise perfectly good pair of 3d glasses that cost around 100 dollars because Sony doesn't sell 5cent plastic end pieces for its glasses I didn't.
I got in touch both with the authorised Service Center and Sony Greece ( where I live ) and they both told me the same thing.
That nobody anticipated the need for parts ( and I'm talking about the plastic thingys on the sides of the glasses that are snap detachable but nonetheless allow someone to actually wear them in order to see ) so I was told that they would look into it but I shouldn't keep my hopes up as to finding a solution.
So I have to buy another pair .
The 64.000$ question here is:
Would it be so tiresome for Sony to order , say , 10.000 of them at 5 cents a piece and sell them afterwards for 10 bucks or are thing so bad that every time we break one of them in that way we have to spit out another 100 dollars ?
I thank in advance anyone and everyone who has the time to read this.

just another number to add to the statistics!, joke,
Hi and welcome to the forum,
to be absolutely honest with you you are right!, you would think that spares would be available for this particular issue, however since this is all new technology perhaps its not been looked into yet, a good idea would be to see if someone from Sony picks up on this and puts it in the suggestion box and wins themselves a tenner!,
if they dont i'll make a note of it and bring it up with someone as soon as, dont throw them away just yet though.

Thanks for at least one honest dude that understands what after sales support means !!!
I will keep on to them thoug , even though I bought another pair , in hopes that at some point Sony will find a solution.
Thanks again
Hi,
apon further investigation i found that for the first year you can get them replaced under warranty if you go about it the right way!:smileywink:
I live in the UK. You lot spend our money unwisely hence the two (TWO) bailouts from the EU. Get a grip on your finaces (Greece) and then maybe you can afford to buy a new pair, you poor, poor person!
I also live in the UK, and can tell you that isn't the view of everyone who lives here. Maestro, you should direct your anger at our "amazing" government if you're that bitter at giving money away rather than someone whose 3D glasses have broken.
