X10 Mini Pro - Too Low Battery, Please HELP...!!!!

Hi,

I purchased X10 mini pro 5/6 weeks back. I am experiencing the problem with battery back up a lot. I have to keep the phone charger with me all the time. My earlier phone was Sony Ericsson 880i which gave me excellent talktime / backup, I even used it for 2 days consecutively without charging again.

I am not at all comfortable using this phone due to above problem.

Humble Request to SonyEricsson Support People: Please HELP me...!!! I can not afford to buy a new phone now, and with current phone, if I am on move, It gets off in the middle of the day that puts me into a problematic situation.

Awaiting a satisfactory response.

If you can call me at +91.8800511115, I would appreciate that.

Thanks you,

Vikas Sachdeva

I am not an expert in conserving battery life, my advices are merely based on my experience with the phone.

About the charging cycles, I am not sure whether is it a myth of fact, anyway, just sharing the info here.

From what I have read .... (simplified version :smileymischief:) fully charge your battery to 100% (make sure by checking the phone status), a total discharge is necessary for the next recharge. Repeat cycle, and some did commented that it works.

As for me, I did not really follow all, the only part I followed is FULLY charge my battery (100%). To be frank, I noticed battery performance did improved.

By the way, I do not have high battery consumption issue for both my X10 and X10 mini. Both are giving reasonable battery life.:smileyhappy:

Thank you ffro your useful tips, a few have surely helped. But when I am not in office / home, i need to use Google Maps & GPRS that time, so if you have any option of giving improved quality battery for phone. Max usage of battery is due to display, I have reduced it a lot still its a problem. Any suggestions??

Hmmmm .... -thinking-

- Don't activate live wallpaper (it increases your CPU load, in turn increases your battery consumption).

- Off your phone (IF not in use) :smileywink:.

- Restart your phone everday (that will 'flush' out those apps running in the background).

Just for info, your battery life will improve after more charging cycles.

Another thing, have you updated to Android 2.1? It seems to improve battery life.

Thank you for prompt response. I'm really impressed.

- Don't activate live wallpaper (it increases your CPU load, in turn increases your battery consumption).

----> I do not use LIVE wallpapers

- Off your phone (IF not in use) .

-----> Can not do as I have to be online / LIVE 24X7 Smiling_Face_with_Sunglasses

- Restart your phone everday (that will 'flush' out those apps running in the background).

-----> This is something that I will surely try and also give you a feedback on this.

Just for info, your battery life will improve after more charging cycles.

------> Can you please explain this a bit as I've been using this past approx 50 days and have been charging phone twice a day as well.

Another thing, have you updated to Android 2.1? It seems to improve battery life.

-----> I have upgraded it to 2.1 3/4 weeks back.

Awaiting your response / reply on this.
