C903 won't start-up

My C903 on startup gets only to the Sony Ericsson logo and the doesn't react after that - you have to remove the battery the shut it down.

The firts time it happened I took it in for repair, and they apparently 'reset' the phone, didn't actually repair anything (after waiting for two weeks). It worked fine for a month or so afterwards and now it's happened again. Is there anything I can do to reset it myself or must I take it in again?

The battery won't charge in the c903, but I recharged it from my wife's c902, so it's fully charged.

The phone is turned off when you are doing the update all you need to do is Hold the C button and insert the USB cable.

Update the phone suing Sony Ericsson Update Service.

Can't do that - the phone won't start up! The phone is totally non-reactive to any buttons - you have to remove the battery to shut it down. It just stops at the Sony Ericsson logo.

I was hoping there is some secret way to do a hard reset from inside the phone.

Thanks for the help - phone is now back in use (but must be some underlying cause I assume that it got into that condition for second time, or is it normal for Sony Ericsson phones?)

No its not a common problem I'm not sure why that happened to you.

My C903 had also started reporting that the 1Gb memory card was not available, so I removed the memory card and since then there has been no repitition of the no-startup problem. If you have an additional memory card, try removing it.
