S380 Blu ray now stops during streaming on LoveFilm, Iplayer

Hi all, hoping there may be others who have identified the cause of this problem.

My s380 is connected by cable to my router, recently it stops after a few minutes during playing from Lovefilm and ip[layer and returns to the menu. I tried power off and on, factory reset, different port, different cable, npone of which helped. I can watch on my laptop OK so I know it's not a broadband/router issue.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I know that you have said that you can watch Lovefilm, iPlayer via your laptop. But what is your actualy broadband speed via http://www.speedtest.net ?

Also have you conducted a firmware update?

Cheers.

Hi there

my speed is 17 Mb

I have not knowingly done a firmware upgrade although the box is telling me it has the latest version

The blu ray worked fine in the past, it is only recently the problem started and I cannot connect the problem starting to anything I am aware of that changed

Hey there

Theres not much left to go on really. It seems that you have done all the standard things.

To summarise -

- Broadband Speed = 17mbps

- Firmware = Latest

- Factory reset = Completed

- Different Ports = Is that on the router?

- Different Cable = Is that the network cable?

- Fails on S380, but works on Laptop. But used to work on S380

So I guess, the next question is, what changed between when it worked until now. Is there anything you can think of.

Also, What ISP are you with. Have you checked your ISP's forums, incase there are other people with the same problem. (ie, TalkTalk had all sorts of problems with playing Lovefilm, but only via the PS3)

Are you with Virgin by any chance? If so, follow the link below -

If it was a widespread issue, I think there would be more people complaining on this forum -

This was fixed by a firmware upgrade

I hope any of this helps

Cheers
