persistent sign on screen wont go

I have a Sony digitial tv DK-28DL110 which we have just connected to virginmedia cable and it now has a rectangle indicating that it is AV1 top left of screen which wont go away and is annoying - can you please help me.  Thanks

Hi there

As a suggestion, try pressing the display (or information) button on your remote. You may need to press it a couple of times, for it to cycle through the options. There may also be a setting in the settings or configuration menu, to disable it by default, check in there as well.
